The Walking Dead has been recommissioned for season 7!

That's right, the top rated US show is returning for season 7!

Today, The Walking Dead's network confirmed that they will be making a seventh season.

The show, which is based on Robert Kirkman’s Image Comics series will be returning in October 2016, it's side show, The Talking Dead has also been recommissioned.

Charlie Collier, who is president at AMC said “All joking aside, we are so proud to share these shows with fans who have been so passionate, communicative and engaged.

“We are grateful for and continually impressed by the talent, effort and excellence on continuous display by Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, Chris Hardwick and the many people with whom we partner to make these unique shows possible. The result: More Walking and Talking. Hooray.”

It's spin of Series, Fear The Walking Dead will also be returning next year for a 15 episode season.
