Civil Youth are a Philadelphia formed 3 piece Alternative Rock band. Their sound have been compared to the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Linkin Park and American Rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars.

The band originally started out as a musical outlet for lead singer Michael Kepko to express his anxiety and depressing during his time living in Boston. Now the band, which is followed by thousands, has over time developed into a cultural movement who can relate and connect with Civil Youths followers.

Civil Youth pride them selves on their live performances which are guaranteed to include memorising drum solos, crowd chanting, plenty of stage acrobatics and lots and lots of sweat.

Where did the name 'Civil Youth' come from?

Mike got the name Civil Youth from the non-government organization, Civil Defense. That organization helped Americans in the case of a military attack of any sort, by providing fallout shelters. We wanted to emulate that concept of being a band that helps others through our art and our music. To become a faction of people who cared for one another, to not think any one person is better than the other. We are here for you, and we want you to use our music to see that you’re not alone.

What RattleMag think: "Civil Youths music is beautifuly constructed with multiple guitar, drum and electronic elements that together make a blend of sexyness. If this band is not on billboards in the next few years, I'll be disapointed and shocked."

RattleRating: 10/10
