The Walking Dead: Season 6 finale review (SPOILERS)

I can safely say I have never felt so disturbed, angry and physically and mentally emotional whilst watching ANY TV episode or movie than I have with The Walking Dead Season 6 finale. TRULY!

If you are fully up to date with The Walking Dead, you have been dreading this moment, the moment we find out who Negan is, and most importantly, who Negan kills off. With an audio track being leaked a few days before the finale release, apparently hinting at which major character gets killed off, or not, The Walking Dead fan base had never been so anxious about watching an episode.

With several scenes within the 90 minute long episode having the potential to kill off a major character, we was continuously on the edge of our seats, taking deep breaths at every build up to a potential death.

Scenes including Carol wanting to commit suicide and later getting shot several times but yet still surviving after Morgan interrupts, it was some intense and emotional moments for actress Melissa McBride who plays character Carol. Even though she made it to the greeting of long anticipated character Negan, there was moments within that scene we just thought Carol would be gone forever.

After Eugene leaving the rest of the group for them to attempt to get Maggie to the hilltop by foot to see a doctor, this also faced us with intense scenes in which we missjudged certain characters deaths on this episode.

Although Negan's entrance to the finale may be seen as weak, it was still an breathtaking moment where he chose which character he was going to kill off, "Eenie, meenie, miney, mo", as he walked across the line of characters lined up on their knees, one of them was about to be beat up and executed.

The moment had came, the last few minutes of the finale were here and... Blackout. As Negan takes his swing for his major character kill off, the screens go black and the audience is left blind to who is killed.

This is a risky move by the directors, leaving a season finale on such a massive cliffhanger you'd question why they chose to do it and what impact that has on the series and it's fan base. This was a truly remarkable moment which leaves The Walking Dead viewer ship with a million question that are going to be left unanswered till October when season 7 airs.

Overall, the season 6 finale was potentially one of the most intense episodes within The Walking Dead history, and the acting that each actor and actress gave deserves an award for what was a stunning performance. But honestly? Leaving a finale episode on a cliffhanger which seems to just abandon us is a huge mistake on behalf of the directors, producers and writers of the episode.
