The multi award winning 'Bearded Theory' Festival have announced the first bands to grace the line ups for their 2017 annual May gathering, to be held this coming year from 25th to the 28th, at Clatton Hall, South Derbyshire, England.

Bearded Theory was launched in 2008, and has surpassed praises and smashed rave reviews with each year that it has grown bigger, older and wiser. Keeping itself fresh and applicable the festival boasts a broad palate of popular independent music, spanning six stages including their orbital mainstage. Alongside the music, festival goers can lose themselves in a delightfully mixed and fully furnished wonderland that ranges from DJ venues and multiple specialist bars, to a cinema, healing areas, a full craft village, Victorian funfair and much more. If Burning man had a much cooler, younger, British cousin with a killer playlist...BT festival might well be it.

And now for the most exciting part ...

This year's stage structure gives way to the strengths of Skin fronted headliner, seminal rock act, 'Skunk Anansie', whom first attracted the sights of BT's organiser when they headlined Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage. Also slated to star on the mainstage are radio favorites 'Slaves', fresh from having just tucked their second top 10 album under their belts.

The rest of the line up continues a broadly and boldly as these predecessors, and tempts you to catch the likes of Wheatus, Reverend and The Makers, CAST, Foy Vance, Son of Primo, The Alarm, Flight Brigade, The Selecter, Goldblade, Sugar Hill Gang & The Furious Five, Ferocious Dog, Kassasin Street, The Mocking Jay's, Jaya the Cat, Tess of the Circle, Smiley and the Underclass, Roving Crows, Kissmet, Defekters, Maia, Pronghorn, Gary J Armstrong, Billy in the Lowground, Rev Hammer, Dreadzone (LIVE), 3 Draft Monkeys, Tarantism, Truce Deceivers, Hobo Jones and the junk yard dogs. Gail, Freedom and Hot Sprockets. As if this is not enough, there are still many more to be announced in the coming months!

There's no doubt about it, Bearded Festival is a must go if you want to be refreshed, thrilled and entertained in form of anything from Ska, Punk, Rock, Folk, Hip Hop, Dub, Indie and everything possible inbetween.
